Book a Farm Stay

One of four bedrooms all graciously appointed.

For information about availability and pricing, or to book the guest house, visit our page on Airbnb

Our private guest house welcomes you with hand-ironed linens, a quiet setting, fresh organically-grown farm food, beautiful farm views and many opportunities to interact with our animals and gardens on 245 acres of beautiful, conservation friendly, sustainable farm land.

Four bedrooms and 3 full baths can host 7 people comfortably in beds, including 1 king, 2 queens and a twin day bed.  Two sofas and 2 camping mats are also available for extra kids.

Crossing the farm brings exercise, fresh air, and a view of our animals and gardens.  You'll cross a creek (with a concrete bottom), walk through forest and wind your way to our farm operation where you are bound to see animals being cared for, gardens being planted, harvesting and more. If you're lucky, you might find baby goats, piglets, lambs, kittens or chicks. You are welcome to participate or just visit.  Either way you will surely learn things you did not know.

If you're looking for peace, quiet and relaxation, the back deck of the Guest House is perfect for an outdoor dinner over looking pastures and the farm. There are many nooks for reading and resting, including our screened gazebo overlooking the pond, or a quiet seat under an oak tree. For those feeling more active, the farm is 1 mile across and a great run or hike to the pond where kayaking and fishing await can be arranged.

Located just 14 miles from Farmville and 50 miles to Richmond, Waverly Farms is just 1 hr. 15 minutes from Richmond International Airport. We are near the High Bridge Trail and Twin Lakes State Park. Bikers appreciate that we are on the Tobacco Biking Trail.

Other amenities include:

  • Unlimited high speed wireless internet
  • Two dishwashers in the large farm kitchen
  • HD TV with Direct TV
  • Farm fresh eggs, meats and greens - all grown according to strict organic guidelines

A sample of farm fresh seasonal vegetables, eggs, and breakfast meat are in the refrigerator when you arrive. You can purchase other farm products as they are available. We opt to give you your privacy and let you cook breakfast at your convenience. If you'd like a guided tour of the farm, just contact us and we will send someone up to the guest house to get you. The farm tour is included in the price of your stay.
